Exporting your Notion pages to Excel can be immensely beneficial for data analysis, reporting, or simply offline storage. With CSV Getter, the process is seamless and user-friendly. This guide will take you step-by-step through the entire process, ensuring you have everything you need to export your Notion data to Excel successfully.

Step 1: Access CSV Getter Home

Begin by navigating to CSV Getter Home. This is your starting point for connecting Notion and exporting your data.

Step 2: Connect to Notion

1. Click on Data: Once on the homepage, locate and click on the "Data" section to proceed.

2. Select Notion and Connect: Under the Notion section, click "Connect." This action will open a new Notion window.

3. Select Pages: In the Notion window, click on "Select pages." Here, you will see a list of pages you can choose from.

4. Allow Access: After selecting your desired pages, click on "Allow access." This will grant CSV Getter the necessary permissions to access your Notion data.

Step 3: Create Your Export

1. Go Back to CSV Getter Home: Return to the CSV Getter homepage for the next steps to create your export.

2. Click on Create Export: Find and click on the "Create Export" button.

3. Select Data Source: Click on "Select Data Source" to begin setting up your export.

4. Choose Notion: From the available options, select "Notion" as your data source.

5. Choose a Notion Database: Select the specific Notion database you'd like to export.

6. Name Your Export: Assign a name to your export for easy identification.

7. Submit Your Export: Click "Submit" to finalise your export request.

8. Review and Export: After your data is set up, review it on the Sample screen. Here, you can adjust settings or remove fields if necessary. You can click "Export Now" to get an instant CSV copy of your data.

Step 4: Importing Data into Excel

Now that you have your Export URL, you can easily sync your Notion data with Excel.

1. Copy Your Export URL: If you haven’t yet, copy the Export URL of the data you want to sync. This can be done in the Sample screen or on the URLs screen

2. Navigate to Excel: Open Excel on your Windows computer.

3. Click on the Data Tab: In Excel, find and click on the "Data" tab.

4. From Web: Click "From Web" to open a new dialog box.

5. Paste Your Export URL: In the dialog box, paste in your copied Export URL and click "OK."

6. Review Data: After a moment, review your data as it appears in Excel, then click "Load" to import it.

Step 5: Keeping Your Data Updated

1. Queries & Connections Pane: Utilize the Queries & Connections pane to manage how your data updates. This feature allows you to keep your data current without leaving Excel.

2. Refresh Your Data: You can refresh the data manually at any time.

3. Set a Scheduled Refresh: For ongoing data updates, click on "Properties" to set a scheduled refresh.

4. Select Refresh Interval: Ensure that "Refresh every" is selected, and specify a refresh interval according to your needs.

Optional Step 6: Adding Authentication

1. Manage Authentication: Back on the sample screen, check the Auth section and enable authentication if required. This works as a password for your data connection.

2. Save Your Auth Header: Type in your Auth header, then click on "Save Auth Header" to finalise.

4. Use Advanced Options for Authenticated URLs: In Excel, when importing data from web, press Advanced.
